Engine light only just come on now...

iv had a decat on my 172 cup now for about 7000 miles and never once had a warning light, however tonight an engine icon has just lit up at random in the bottom right of the dash. is this normal or could it have lit up due to another problem?

car still sound fine and runs as normal... :S

Mine took a while for the emissions light to come on its normal with a decat just find some one with a obd reader and they can turn it off again

Mine comes on every now and again, i just turn it off with a cheap OBDII reader though as it does get annoying

just like a normal engine light just above where the shift light comes on.

Sounds like the same one, nothing to worry about mate unless it starts going into limp mode.

Get a code reader off ebay for about £25 and turn it off, if your like me it will annoy you after a while lol

is it orange? mines comes on sometimes after a long 2 hour+ journey once or twice a year, as someone said get a cheap code reader and takes minutes to clear.

maybe post up in your local section see if someone has one local?
