Engine Light?!?!

Was driving home from work last night, and my engine light came on? engine seems to be running fine, and pulling ok when i was flooring it a bit?

any ideas?

I was thinking maybe a faulty light? or somethings come loose under the bonnet? or is there something REALLY bad that im missing and could potentially be sitting on a time bomb lol?

Service light was up, but i did the service myself, new oil etc... and it went off?

Anyone got any ideas? as i have to make a 150 mile journey today to bournemouth and really dont wana wreck it, or break down?

the serv light does not indicate a service is required. Its to identify a fault. So you will get serv light + another light to indicate a fault with a component.

Get a fault reader on it to find out the problem

mine came on and on the diagnostics it came up with knock sensor but i had the ecu reset and all is fine

Lamda sensor? Seems a common problem.

If everything is running correctly my guess is downstream lambda
