Engine management light...help?

Was stopped at a red light earlier today and felt the car start to die abit, revs seemed to go quite low and i thought it was going to stall. I then noticed the engine management like was on so i tried to keep it running by giving it some revs and did manage to keep it going, but was always trying to stall. After i drove on from the lights a few yards down the road the light went off and the car drove a normal as ever :S
Anyone know what it could be?

Happened again this morning on my way to work. Anyone got any ideas to why it would do this?

best thing is to stick it on a diagnostics asap, this should tell you exactly whats wrong, better than just shotting parts and money at it.
