Clio 182
Hello folks,
I have a Renaultsport Clio 182 05 plate which I have owned for nearly a year now. I have had no problems with it apart from a handbrake cable snapping due to my clumsiness.
However for the past few weeks the car has developed a problem, one day I was driving along and the car started juddering and making a horrendous sound. The engine management light came on and has been flashing or present ever since. The car became sluggish and struggled at low revs.
After this happened I booked the car into Halfords Auto Centre, They replaced the coil pack and the car was back to normal but after 4 days the problem came back.
I booked the car back into Halfords and it spent about a week there eventually they told me that the coil lead was the problem and that the car had been road tested working perfectly but the engine management light will be present for a few days but not to worry. It worked perfectly after they replaced the coil lead actually better than perfect the car has never been so powerful. But after 3 days the car started juddering with the engine management light again present, occasionally it works perfectly loads of power driving like it should but other days its basically crawling around town sounding like its on the verge of blowing up.
When the car is idieling the revs drop as if it is going to stall and it sounds like there is a loose fan in the engine?
Has anyone any ideas?
