engine mounts how many ?

hi there i think i need to change my engine mounts as there is a kinda banging noise coming from my car on hard accelaraton 1st 2nd gear and been told could be the mound just wondering many mounts is there in total and will i change all mounts to fix my problem and is it a hard job to go abt them to change ???

There is 3 mate. Upper engine mount, upper gearbox mount & lower gearbox mount.

There is also a 4th one, the dogbone bush at the back.

None are particularly hard to change, although the gearbox ones are marginally harder to get to in the first place.

When mine did that it was the upper gearbox mount that needed replacing. There's guide on here. Only fiddly bit is getting the nut back on from underneath but only took an hour for me

I've got genuine brand new upper engine, upper gearbox & powerflex lower gearbox mount. Pm if your interested.

Couldn't tell you if it does or not as I've never had the problem on either my 172 or trophy. As I've mentioned in my last post I've got all mounts for sale brand new unused if you decide to renew them all.
