Engine randomly cutting out

Hi this has happened a few times now when i'm travelling along at around 65-70 or at quite low revs the engine sometimes loses power and the engine management light comes on quickly then it within a second it comes back to life. Last night I was coming up to a roundabout in 2nd gear at about 2k revs and it died altogether and the engine management light came on. I stopped and it restarted and drove home without any more problems.

Today it seems to be doing the same. I have a list of thing which have been changed recently so after the problem first appeared which are the tdc sensor and wiring, coil pack, air flow sensor, injectors, and the wiring loom that connects these together.

The problem seemed to get worse today after I had washed my car so i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it I checked most thing for dampness and there are no signs.

It's a 52 plate 1.2 16v if anybody has any ideas i'd like to hear them.

Thanks

Sorry I should have added that I changed the manifold with my old one when so that I could change the tdc wiring. So the throttle body was changed with it. I've checked the spark plugs also and they seem fine though I think I will change them to be on the safe side.

I'm just about to run out of parts and sensors too change and beginning to suspect the ECU though I really hope it's not that.

If I thought I could drive it that far I would! Lost faith in Renaults now used to think the everyone saying they were unreliable was wrong but it's been one problem after another now for as long as I can remember.

  Mondeo TXS Bardge.
i had a similar problem turned out to be my o2 sensor, is that diferent from a TDC sensor, dunno much about engines, got it replaced under warranty but yours is out,
mine started out that it was just at low revs you got power loss, or cut outs, but it got progressivly worse and ende dup happening all over the rev band. but now they changed that all is ok.
renault recommend your o2 sensor (lamada probe) gets changed evry 40-60 thousand miles) which is worrying because they can be bloody expensive

Thanks Jaff I was considering changing this as luckily I have a spare. It's worth a go anyway so I will be doing it tomorrow by the looks of it.
