Engine Start Issue

On wet / cold mornings my car NEVER starts first time, but ALWAYS starts second time. I can crank it for 1sec or 10secs and it won't start, but stop and retry and it fire's up perfect.
I thought it might be an immobiliser problem but I only seem to get it when it's cold or wet so maybe thinking a sensor problem somewhere? Because of the weather maybe it's an engine temperature sensor?
Or maybe a sticking throttle due to the weather having an effect on it?

On the top of the gearbox between the engine and box.

Do a search a picture will come up.
