Engine steam cleaning

My engine bay is looking dirtier than something really dirty, and was wondering about getting it steam cleaned.....has anyone else done this with good/bad results? what would i need to look out for, or is steam cleaning a no-go?

Theres some industrial estate near by, that does engines for £10/£15 - is this too cheap and dodgy?

Not really a good idea as if the water gets into your electrics you wont be happy!

Renault are not renowned for there wiring skills.

Dont do it! get some of that engine bay cleaning foam (Dont know if its any good but its got to be better than steasm cleaning)

i thought that u could get ur engine cleaned by a spraying it with air, but maybe im just making this up, i cant remember!
