Its the road traffic act says any running car engine connection to the normal drive train (hence why generators on the back of truck are ok) if its running needs to have a driver in the seat. How so?!Its illegal though to not be sitting in the drivers seat car when the engine running
The car is still imobilised, still ave to get in and start as usual without turning to starter.

my house is situated at the end of a street. I have a drive which isnt classed as public access. I also have a car park at work soley for the use of staff and signs clearly state there is no public right of way.
either way i doubt a copper is going to be stood next to my car ha!
Now this is a nice button

Nope but if you ever have an accident with the engine running and you not in then the police could charge you plus insurance is invalid.
A sign means nothing though if the public have access its public right of way.
