I hadn’t really driven my 182 Cup with this function deactivated, other than the obligatory couple of miles after I picked her up. As I wasn’t ragging the car due to it only having 20 miles on the clock, I didn’t really notice any change.

I hit the button the yesterday after 4500 miles and it was like driving a different car! I loved it. The car didn’t think it just did exactly what I told it to do, for better or for worse. Superb fun.

Anyone with a 182 have a similar, "I see the light!" moment?

Yeah had my esp off yesterday, as it was nice and dry, i do like roundabouts with the esp off.

I've just gone past 4000 miles and do notice the difference, makes it even more fun!

Although, I'm not so confident keeping it off in the wet and pushing it.

I'd imagine it spoils your fun quite often though.

when i drive it properly its never on, it f***s up everything imo and is sometime more dangerous on than off also imo

I do turn mine off from time to time,and yes you can notice the difference

I had the new Astra as a hire car in the Alps a few weeks back. It had ESP and I could not find the switch to turn it off.

It really blew my mind though, I have driven a lot in the snow and this car had snowtires too which makes it a lot easier but it was awesome! I could keep my foot planted, turn around a corner and the car just went around it!

I even took it to an empty car park and tried to spin the thing but it just goes where you point the wheels! I am sold and my next car will definately have it on, just for the lazy days when you aren't putting 100% in of course.
