Can anyone tell me if the clio 172 has ESP on it?
It's got the dashboard light but i've never seen it flicker or come on.

I think ESP was only on late 52 reg models of the 172. It should be on a button down to the right of the steering wheel. Not sure if the light comes on if its being used. If your 172 is older it will only have ABS and no TC/ESP.

If you haven't got this button mate you haven't got esp .

I have it on my November 2003 172 along with Cruise control.

The light doesn't come on by itself. The esp works all the time until you turn it off, then the light comes on to warn you it's off.

Pain in the ass as it cuts the engine when you want to go faster.

Example is booting it coming out a hard right, the car just jumps about as ive planted the throttle, best to turn it off and listen to the tyres squeal..

The light doesn't come on by itself. The esp works all the time until you turn it off, then the light comes on to warn you it's off.

On mine if its icy or you try and wheelspin it flickers like mad.

Yeah it'll flick on to show you its working, although, ass Mr Clarkson said, never once in the whole week he used it did it get off its fat arse and work, it was a button that did nothing.

Hover the fact that your car stops for a second as it cuts all the power and then starts going again, shoudl mean much more than a flashing light coming on!
