Espace V6 airbox problem

I have a big problem, I bought the espace v6 airbox but now is not to put the ducting pipr to the air intake on the grid since the central air climb compressor, any help?

Sorry for bad English,I hope you understand me:(

Are you talking about the air intake pipe from the airbox into the throttle body/ inlet manifold. Or the air feed into the airbox such as the Cold Air Feed?

My airbox was a tight fit up against the air conditioning hose so had to play around with the existing inlet hose. I bought a Samco silicone inlet hose and trimmed to fit and it's fine.

This second! You have air condition and V6 AIRBOX?

The above set-up only really works on the 172 Cup ( no aircon ) you still run the danger with no fuel rail gaurd on all the RS models

dont forget to block the pipe up that connects to the acoustic valve

I've removed the acoustic valve and ran a CAF down into the wing/bumper towards the fog light.

I've recently bought a 102mm dia 45' silicone bend that I'm going to trim to fit onto the feed and down towards the wing. I'll post picks when I get it sorted

Do you mean where did I get the hose from? if so it was from a shop on Ebay, £20. It's just long enough to sit behind the headlight, and I've got some 102mm flexible ducting/ hosing to run from behind the foglight surround to direct up towards the hose

which piping be that matey?

there is a vaccume pipe that connects to the plenum

there is suction there that opens the accoustic valve

need to put a screw in the pipe or block it up some ways or your revs will be about 1500-2k

need to have a play the weekend to see about feeding it to front grill or something close to that

presume you're removing the fuel rail mate cos i've looked and there is no where you can run it to the front otherwise :(. I'm thinking about running it down the the bottom engine cover and cutting a hole. Either that, or the acoustic location

i got a FF with air con so no chance of running it over the fuel rail

going to see about going down the wheel arch or see if i can get to the lower grill

i just bought a V6 airbox myself for £10. Shouldn't be that much problem fitting it. Ive ran a CAF before on my old PH2 172 down through where the accoustic valve is and then down to the lower grill.

£10 where you get that little steal from

Got if off a V6 espace on ebay which was breaking. Couldnt believe it myself, £20 for some CAF feed and about £40ish for a ITG filter, so only about £60-70 for all of it. cant complain :rasp:

CONCLUSION:I have to remove acoustic valve and fit the CAF here?If I have the air condition I can't to put in the CAF under the fuel rail?

Since acoustic valve is there only for the GREENPEACE to be happy I dont think You need it more than I do in my ph1 172 :) Fit the CAF there and enjoy

will not fit where the fuel rail is as the ac pipe work is in the way

run down to where the acoustic valve goes

You can use 45degree elbow only if You relocate batery to the trunk. If You don't use 90degree elbow

Here is how it works:

90degree elbow:

You will need a good power cable 16mm2 or bigger / a power distribution block to connect this wire to the oryginal instalation and a 60A fuse on the cable close to the battery. Ground cable can be connected to the chasis close to the battery (just be sure there is a good connection)

  None :(
Doubt this will be much help, but here it is anyways.

I've just fitted the same to my 182 with air con, and i ran mine down where the old caf was, and took out the acoustic valve thing. and unit.

I've taken some photo's, (but not under the arch yet)

Today i put the battery in the boot, but i've not moved the CAF, its in the same place when the battery was there, i've not moved it yet cause i need to get myself a 45' pipe thing, is it 74mm i need to buy if anyone knows?

I'm tempted to move it to the front of the grill like suggested, but not sure about the whole water business, suppose i just need to take it easy when its raining.....

I want to buy the 45 silicone elbow for the espace v6 airbox right now, anybody can tell me the ID and OD of the elbow? If can send me the ebay link much better.thankss

  RS RIP
Glos182 ; that must be the worst flowing caf i have ever seen.. :dapprove:

Trie something else. Not meaning to be negative or dissing you or anyhing like that, but that is no good ! It's squished in there , causing major restrictions along the caf !
