Essential Mac apps

Car  LY 182
Well there's a section for "must have" apps for the iPhone and iPad. I thought there should be something for Mac. (Maybe there is one, but it's not sticky'd).

I feel like I've hardly touched the surface with this Macbook so far.

But to get it started my current most used app for the Mac is 1Password.

Very simple, but awesome if there's a fair amount of sites you log in to and want nice long secure passwords rather than using the same basic password for every site you visit.

I also like Adium for when I need to catch some people on MSN.

Firefox (obvious but the new beta is sweet)
VMWare if you plan on installing windows
Clean my Mac to get rid of all the rubbish left behind
Gimp - a free Photoshop

CleanMyMac
Tweetie (if twitter user)
Speed Download
Disk Inventory X
iRip
The Unarchiver
VLC
iWork
Last.fm

Chrome
Thunderbird
Adium
Skype
A fan controller, if you play games. I use SMC.
Toast
Stuffit
AppDelete
TuneUp
Vuze

Coda - Like Notepad++ / The Code Page Of Dreamweaver much less bloated than any other editing software for html xhtml php etc

Anybody got a good free twitter app recommendation?

Currently using tweetie which seems ok, but not great TBH. I don't find it that great for finding new users to follow etc

Caffeine is a useful little app'

Stops your mac going to sleep/dimming the screen while you watch youtube, pr0n and so on..
