ET 30-35 Wheels...

Looking at getting a set of lighter alloys in 15'' on the Cup, atm im running 15's that are an et36. Just wondered if there is any downsides to having a lower offset other than rubbing on the arches.

even more stress on the hubs/bearings. The 172 originally was made with the wheels having offset 43 (give or take) , then the 172Cup became a wider track by the ET38 of the Turinis. On the same hubs.

With ET30 you will be out another 1,5cm each side!

I think the 182 design , bigger hubs+bearings for wider track, was'nt designed differently for nothing.

Renault probably realised the ET38 was the limit (on the 172 hubs) ?

My 1.6 non sport handled like it was on rails with lightweight et35 wheels.
