Etch Marks in my Clearcoat

Hi everyone,

I think my car stood under a tree and the sap left etch marks in my clearcoat on my roof. How do I remove them, and how do I prevent it from happening again, or meaning how do I protect my paint.

Will need claying to remove the sap, and then polishing to remove the etching.

Depening how deep it has etched will govern the correction process. Working by hand something like Meguairs Scratch X is the best bet. Easist route would be a machine polish, which maybe the only route id the etching is bad.

A decent sealant or sealant & wax combo is a must to protect against it again after polishing.
