EU Import alarms Sigma M32

If anyone is contemplating buying a EU import 172 or already has one & is toying whether to buy an alarm, I have just had a Sigma M32 fitted. Renault used the Sigma alarms on some of the Mark 1 172s. I am well pleased with the system which has now made the security status to a thatcham cat 1. The alarm uses the exisitng key fob & comes with an overide keypad system which I have had fitted discretely in the passenger footwell. A good feature is the superlock which when enabled will not allow the car to start even with the right key. Useful if your on holiday, house gets burgled & car keys stolen etc. I was also provided with a Certificate of installation which some insurance companies require. The total cost was £250 which I thought was good value. Apparently the garage said it was a pig of a job & literally took them all day. In fact one garage declined to fit the system as they said it was too much hassle. If anyone lives in the Devon & Cornwall area the system was fitted by Plymouth Car Sound who have been around for years. I highly recommend them.
