Eurocarparts driveshaft exchange......

  Monaco Blue Clio 172
Im swapping the offside driveshaft and just wondering if i only need the outer part of the driveshaft or the whole lot that goes into the diff???

If i need the whole lot off how does the driveshaft locate in the box and intermidiate bearing carrier? i cant see any clips/bolts that hold it in and I dont want to try knocking it out with a bar untill I know for deffinate thats the way to do things.

can anyone shed any light on this??

i have but only the outer part of the driveshaft has come away leaving the piece between the diff and intermidiate bearing still in place. This is ok to just leaver out then?

just a word of warning, the driveshafts from euro car parts dont tend to be the right part. i know this because my dad worked there for 4 years, he left only a few weeks ago.
when i bought my 182 he said that he used to advise renaultsport clio owners that the driveshafts wernt right. he said out of 10 they used to get at least 8 returned.
so just a word of caution

think it must have been on the origional driveshaft and fitted in the factory with no anti sieze grease from the build up of rust!! Big drift and even bigger hammer got it off in the end!

Will have to see how it goes on before passing judgement on eurocarparts driveshafts.......fingers crossed I ll be lucky!!!!!

there's so many variations for 172/182 that you're as well biting the bullet and buying a renault part.

I had one replaced at a transmission specialist and I'm pretty sure its not right.

I always buy from renault or second hand as buying from a local motor factors it was wrong! After draining gearbox, refitting, finding out was wrong, then draining box, taking it back was a right arsehole!

I was only going with eurocarparts as they had one on the shelf and the clio is stuck in my bosses garage right next to my 205 thats also in bits and didnt want it sitting there for a few days and also not having a car......However as everyone said it turned out to be the wrong driveshaft so im just gonna ring uncle John @ R-Sport and get him to post me a genuine one ready for tuesday!!!!!
