Ex R4WDC on the forecourt

It looks so lonely sat there right at the front, amongst the pieces of metal that the cowboy car salesman is selling...

i want it back, but not for that price. For info, i paid £6000 for it 2 years and 20k miles ago!

Renault told me they sold it to the guy for £3750 in case anyone's interested. I got £4000 trade in.

damn i miss this car! :(

the ph-quick bonnet graphic still remains though... as does the nurburgring sticker on the back :)

thats gonna look good for potential buyers lol

  Inferno 182 w/ Recaros ;)
LOL I'd love to be in a position to know the costs and be buying it.

You've moved on to better things matey. Namely the inferno, or best coloured 182 there is. ;)

Go play with the salesman, get a test drive ;) lol

already did that, he didnt know s**t! he was like...
"look how shiny the engine is" (i had polished it when i owned it)

me:
"wow the previous owner must have really looked after it"

him:
"yeah apparently he traded it in for a newer version"

me, with 182 parked 6ft away:
"ah, that makes sense then"

he still doesnt know i was the previous owner, even with my private reg plastered over the service history and receipts! The 182 was sat next to him with the same plate on it! lol

Lol I spotted it first :rasp:
Drove past it about 10mins ago, looks lonely. Yeah they haven't got a clue in there wasnt so long ago that they were selling garden furniture! Tempting but not at that price.

The guy seemed keen to let me have the keys and test drive it though mate, by the sounds of it on my own too.... so if you've got an hour to kill, i left a tenners worth of petrol in it ;)

Do you think they are still open now?! Might pop down there tommorow, problem is I know if i do I will want one badly, and I have to keep the 1.2 16v until bloody July, got overtaken by a 206cc on the by pass earlier I wasnt really going for it but embarressing all the same. Owned him round the roundabout though:approve:

Just test driven it :race:!
'Kin quick is all im saying, lit the front wheels up in 2nd, wasnt expecting that! Apparently the last owner was a right anorak the bloke said!
The 1.2 didnt feel as slow as I thought it would, although I need a 172 in my life now!

haha, quality :approve:

im a right anorak me!

I just can't believe that they have left the ph-quick & ring sticker on it.
From what was written about the dealer not having a clue about the car, they sure as hell won't have a clue about the stickers & what they mean !

I'd does look lonely though:(

he didnt have a clue.

when i spoke to him he asked me if i knew what they were for. i just said nah sorry mate, no idea :clown:

The bloke found a reciept for some eibach springs fitted at KTEC and some new engine mounts. He told me it had a full racing suspension kit (its back on standard springs) and racing engine mounts. Just ended up feeling sorry for him!

could be amusing if i take in the receipt for the cambelt change which i forgot to supply with the car when i traded it.

"remember me, i was interested in the 172 over there... well you might want this receipt for the new owner. now who feels silly...?" ;)

Awww with the price of ph-quicks I should buy a spare one for when mine breaks hahah!
Not for that money tho I paid 4.5k for mine a year and a half ago! Got him down from 5k
Still think your a traitor gettin a 182 :rasp:

Long live the ph-quick!

I think you may have been rumbled as he told me the new owner had traded it in for a 'burnt orange' 182 lol.
Its £1k overpriced in my opinion and you cant tell if the belts been done or not, so the lack of reciept would prove a good bargaining tool.

That car finally got the run it deserved ;)

Well done alex :)

lol

i drove that car with intent... which is why it was a bloody quick one!

you gotta know how to treat them! ;)

Lol, I was abit intimidated by it to be honest, even stalled it on the way out the garage:eek: The throttles quite stiff compared to my car but not a bad thing. Im ashamed to say I hit the limiter as well, not used to having to change gear so fast. The gearbox feels good, so much better than my 1.2 16v.
