Exalto PE2's Fitted - Advice Needed

R

Had two Exalto PE2's fitted this morning

195 45 R16 80V

Cost me £173 all in, inc fitting, valves, balancing & vat at local garage

Noticed the ones I had last year (which are now on the back) are 84V, I think the original Conti spare is also 84V

http://www.blackcircles.com/general/sidewall

Main thing is their correct size and rating, ie V=149mph but above website also says the number preceeding the V rating is the max load per tyre

84=500kg and 80=450kg

What's everyone else got and are my 80V ok, Im sure the 2 Conti's were 84V

80V's are fine, its just the oad rating of the trye no real difference maybe slight ride quality difference and the sidewall protection comes out slightly further but apart from that its fine, i believe the cups came with 83

Thanks

ps checked my spare which has original unused Conti and that's 80 anyway, also noticed the rear PE2's have "extra load" written after the 84V so if anything it's those that exceed the originals anyway

rich, which PE2 do you use? 205/45/R16 84V or 195...watever...?please tell full numbers..I am interested in finding out if there is a higher load for 182 cup's (which use as std: 205/45R16v 83V ;) )
thanks,
cheers

195 45 R16 80V front
195 45 R16 84V rear (has "extra load" on tyre wall)

Last year I wanted the 205 45 variant but was told I should only do that if replacing all 4 tyres at the same time so I just got the 195 45 instead

They definitely feel better than the original Conti's, have a stiffer sidewall and the tread looks the dogs danglies too
