Excel expert required. Help........?

Hi,

I am wanting a formula so i can enter the date is a 'master' box, and every date in a selected column that is over a year old will turn a certain colour ( like an expiration date ).

Is this at all possible - and if so - How?

Any help much appreciated.

Use conditional formating

as above - use formula in master cell =TODAY() and then input conditional formatting formula to suit. PM me if you need any further instruction

as above for Today's date, then possibly another cell with =CELLNAME-366 so it displays the date for 1 year ago? I'm sure there's an neater way.

Just do it in conditional formatting .Cell value is - less than or equal to (todays date cell)+365. thaen format accordingly.

What if it's a leap year? E.g. this year would need to be 366

dunno - never used a function like that for such a long period of time - normally flag things over 1 week old

When entering TODAY() is there a way of getting rid of the time?

Just format the cells to 'date' i.e 12/03/2006

Yes, change the format of the cell. For example, if you want just the day, month and year, go to custom and enter dd/mm/yyyy
