exhast mount

  172cup
Hi there,
I had a Milltek fitted a while ago and noticed it was looking a bit "slack"
So I got under the car with some cable ties and lifted it up.
Coming to the point, its now sitting perfectly but the vibrations inside the car have gone mental!!
is there a way to get it closer to the rear bumper without losing the mount flexibility??
cheers

Coby.

Get some tough but not solid tubing packed into the mounts.... Will lift it but still allow a bit of movement.

You can get the rubber mounts replaced at an exhaust and tyre place if you've not changed them already. Chances are, they've perished, and the bracket on the exhaust will have dropped down on to the metal bracket. You'll notice a lot of 182's with uneven exhausts. Mine cost £30 at Selecta Tyre.

Just an idea.

I've already got them replaced but that didnt help at all.
The brackets on the exhaust were already touching the bottom of the mounts,i love Milltek but its so unbalanced.
Where can i get those not solid/rubber tubing from? Halfords?B&Q?

Thanks!
