Exhaust centre section!!

Hi guys, took my exhaust to a local garage to it fitted today, but they couldnt do it.
they said that the centre section of the exhaust was too small to fit on the bore (inlet pipe to new exhaust) because the one on my new exhaust was too big.

What can i do about this, any suggestions. can you get a centre section a bit bigger.

has this happened to anyone before,

its a twin oval, its was pretty cheap tbh, but just wanted to get a new exhaust to make my car look and sound a little better for cheap.

i dont know the make, just got it off www.essexracing.com chav i know, but relatively cheap. im not a chav btw.

can you help
