Exhaust expansion when hot

Anyone else had their exhaust do this when hot.

Recently fitted a 182 mani and ktec sports cat to my 172 ktec cat back.

Now when the exhaust gets hot the tail pipe sticks out a good few inches and the back box is almost coming out the hanger it’s moving that much.

Exhaust wont expand like that. Worn engine mounts will make the exhaust move all over the place and soft rubber exhaust mounts.

Will change the exhaust rubbers see if that helps. Engine has polybushed mounts and is solid.

They do expand, I used to have a Ktec ultra performance and after a run the tail pipes stuck right out

My exhaust expanded on track so it touched the bumper.

Yeh they do expand.

On my 182 when I had a ktec exhaust with slash cuts i set it so when cold the pipes sat in line with the bumper, after a run they were a good inch further out.

Nothing you can do about it, one of the properties of stainless steel
