Exhaust fabrication midlands

Can anyone recommend a good exhaust place around the Grantham/Melton Mowbray area?

I need some fabrication work to adapt a cat-back exhaust to my existing cat pipe

Nice! Was pondering on there being better/cheaper welders in Poland?
Oh 100% on both counts, but I don't want to be driving around the UK for 2 weeks deafening my family. I'm driving over with my daughter and we've both got noise cancelling headphones for the journey, but I'm picking my son and girlfriend up from the airport when they arrive and they don't have any 🤣

@hopgop1 are you still living around that area?
I don't have any personal experiences to recommend from, but similarly I was looking for somewhere to change the horrible downpipe to cat join for a v-band on my 182, didn't end up having it done in the end, but my mechanic highly recommended these guys for welding work https://sttpr.com/ no idea how expensive they are, based in Whatton between Grantham and Nottingham on the 52.

Nawfabz in Chesterfield might be of use? He has a YouTube channel I often watch. He makes loads of exhausts.
Chesterfield is a bit far tbh, I was hoping an hour from my mum's at most. She's in the middle of nowhere though so I may be being overly optimistic 🤣

Got a couple of quotes back. One from a really nice guy who was about 25 minutes away and has good reviews, but he's moving units the day I arrive in the UK and won't be able to do it before I go back to Poland, that was £200.

@hopgop1 I also got a quote back from STTPR but given that it's more than the cost of a brand new exhaust I think I'll probably pass 🫠 understandable given that they're more used to building race cars than repairing 20+ year old French tat, but I still had to blink a few times to make sure I hadn't misread the price 🤣

Yeah my suspicion was that they'd be expensive, if you find somewhere decent local let me know. Don't suppose you're in the market for a cup splitter while you're over? Have one sat in my garage I don't want the hassle of posting.

Haha I would be if it was a boot spoiler

Found a few pics of Deans work

Ashley competition exhaust!
If you went in a car with one of them fitted back in the day, your ears and probably still ringing now!

I remember Adams black 182 with the green wrapped roof, that had a John Ashley exhaust on. Was ridiculously loud
