You can get the back box separate, can see it being too expensive to replace.

But now is the time to get a stainless system if your feeling a bit flush

you are right even though it is a complete exhaust system they can cut the downpipe and just fit the rear section. renault quoted 270 inclusive for new backbox and fitting. reasonable?

I feel your pain. Mine fell off not so long ago. Got replaced by a cat back janspeed stainless system for £250 iirc
