exhaust fitting kit

on the exhaust fitting kit where does the metal washer go? is it between the manifold and downpipe or as this pic shows

the washers go the other side of the cups they're sat in in the photo

so they pressed by the spring into the back of the flange on the downpipe side

So the holey washer goes after the cat (I.e not between the cat and Mani)
Also I didn't get supplied a fibre washer. Is it necessary? Has anybody got a pic of one, I could probably get one from work.
