Exhaust Gasket from cat back - options

I've re-fitted my exhaust but it's blowing at the joint between the cat and the stainless steel cat-back section. I have replace the Renault metal gasket with a new OEM one, but it still blows and I've even tried plugging the gap with several gaskets!

Anyone know if it's possible to buy a fibre gasket as I think that would sort it out by filling the small gap better than a metal gasket.

Sounds good. What are we talking about though, is it silicon sealant like the clear stuff that squirts out of a tube usually used for sealing windows?

yeah but it has to be high temp 300degreeC stuff (available from motorfactors, instant gasket)

Fred do you know if the instant gasket stuff sticks too much? E.g. if you come to seperate the centre section from the cat in 2 years time and they are stuck together?

LOL.....the likelihood of that happening mate is VERY VERY slim....infact almost impossible I'd say!!!
