Exhaust help needed !

The centre section of my exhaust has been squashed and split [speed bump]. Its a Magnex system and after speaking to Magnex they say they do not sell just this and Ill have to buy a full system from them !!! Has anyone else replaced just the centre section of there stainless exhaust ? Any ideas, dont wan to replace the whole thing as the back box is fine !

If it was on a public road, you may be ablr to get the local council to pay for the repairs.

Depends, there was a thread about how big road humps are allowed to be a while back. Its potholes you can claim on..

I would phone back, complain about the quality of the exhaust and then ask if they can supply the centre section. Im sure if they are made the guilty party theyll be less likely to try and get every last penny out of you.

It wasnt a public road unfortunately, it was the speed bump in the entrance of the rugby club and I happened to have two big rugby players in the car ! The exhaust was 2nd hand and not perfect but ok, this seems to have finished it off though ! I had a moan to Magnex about it being daft not being able to buy just the middle section but she said they all come with different diametres and it would be impossible to match up, b0ll0cks I know but what can I do !?!

Cant you go to some of these custom exhaust places ....Powerflow? and get them to make a matching centre section in SS?

Do what I done when I kurbed my alloy find a rather nasty hole in the road take a picture of the hole and the damage send it to the council say the hole has casued damage to your car and it has completley f**ked your exhaust and you now have to have a new one fitted and seeing as you pay road tax you dont see why you should pay for the damage they cant repair damage to the roads hey presto letter of apology and a cheque a couple of weeks later.

I got £180 because I deflated my tyre and said that was burst as well as the wheel being beyond repair.

i know it might have been your club so you probably dont want to, but claim off the rugby club, speed bumps are only allowed to be about 7" high

Dont really want to start claiming off the club really, its a nice place and to be honest I dont think its a majorly high bump, its just on a bit of a hill and with a lowered car and three 14st + blokes in it I cant really blame them. Will try powerflow I think, anyone got a number ?
