Exhaust help pleease..

Car  RB clio 182
Basically, I've got a full Milltek and when it was fitted, it sat perfectly.

But now it's completely on the piss and sits over to the right nearly touching the sides of the bumper exits.

Can anyone shed some light on how to straighten it up and lift it up ?

Thanks peeps !!

New centre exhaust rubber which renault have now changed to a decent one (or so I'm lead to believe) and some Prima Racing rear exhaust hangers should sort it out also as the hangers might be all burst

A new set of hangers/mounts will solve the issue i had terrible issues with the same thing on my old 182 which also had a milltek...After time the exhaust hangers crack and the rubber starts to sag its not the lightest system in the world i would go for some powerflex mounts pal :)

Cheers for the info chaps !!

The mount and rubbers looked ok when it was fitted but the rubber was sagging a bit I noticed on the large rear ones.

Where can I get uprated ones ? Can you buy ones that aren't solid as I'd imagine solid ones will cause vibration ??

What are those in the link made out if ? Hard rubber im guessing ??

Im gonna buy some just as long as my car doesn't vibrate...

Anyone know if they cause vibration or not ??

Im having a guess that they are made from polyurethane just like power flex bushes.

I can't comment on the vibration as i don't have them but if you do a search on the forum and you might find out what they are like and who has them fitted.

Pretty sure I bought these- http://www.powerflex.co.uk/product-details/Universal+Exhaust+Mount/1549.html cut out the perished rubber from the old mounts, cut a bit off the powerflext mounts to get them in, then measured where I wanted exhaust to fit and marked a hole accordingly, drilled a hole then covered them in Sikaflex to make sure they sit correctly... exhaust sits nicely now and has done for 6 months... this thread explains it better though! - http://www.cliosport.net/forum/show...haust-mounts&highlight=uprated+exhaust+mounts

what does it do when covering them in that stuff ?

Can you just cable tie them in place as another option ??

It is an adhesive sealant I believe, no chance of them slipping out with the Sikaflex.I guess you could but I wouldn't be happy about them not slipping out, it depends on how good the fitting is as you will have to cut them slightly.

Just try the good old cheap bodge fix. Get some radiator hose and plug the gaps in the rear exhaust mounts to make it sit right again. Then hold them in place with cable ties. This way it still gives it some flex.

Fixed today !!

Sitting spot on now, filled the gaps but then cable tied it and they git it sitting spot on !!

Cheers chaps
