exhaust manifold/system question

prob been asked before, but if i fit a 182 manifold and cat/de-cat to my 172 do i need to replace the rest of the system?

It has and no.

You will need a 182 to 172 link pipe though.

Why do you want to fit a 182 manifold?

may go full on aftermarket but are they any better than the 182's?

No. They are pointless. The standard manifold is awesome as it is.

I mean searching for the difference between 172/182- for the effort involved.

Id look elsewhere to spend your money.

searching atm yer, what gave the 182 that extra bit of power then just the map.

won't be spending much money on this car its only my everyday runabout/poss future roadgoing series hill climb car.
