Exhaust modification

Hello,

I'm getting a decat pipe from www.zorstec.net for the 172 as the current exhaust sounds a bit poofy and I want a bit more grunt.

He has quoted me £400 for the full system and decat with a single pipe cut into the bumper slightly but can't afford it at the moment.

The exhaust I have on now was on when I bought the car (I think its a magnex cat back)

I'm not a huge fan of it but cant afford to change it at the moment.

Is there a way to modify the exhaust without changing it (tampering with the back box or somat) - to make it sound a little bit more 'beefy'. I dont wanna ask the guy at zorstec and make a fool of myself so thought i'd make a fool of myself on a public forum instead.

I've never driven a car with decat before - what kinda difference in sound do you get normally?

He has quoted me £90 notes fitted for the decat pipe which I didnt think was bad as he stuff is top quality.

i highly recommend zorstec.. they made my decat

p.s. id go with their full custom system! they experts on exhausts!
