exhaust on 172

is it possible to fit a 182 manifold with a 182 cat or decat onto a 182 centre section with a 172 back box? all after market and not custom bar the manifold?

no i belive the manifold needs slight work to it also, the cats a different length, center section is diff i believe,

would be easiest opton , but dont know exactly how much modifying of a original 182 pieces would be needed

Iain you can use the 182 maifold, a 182 decat then adapt it to fit most cat back systems. AlanC's ur man to ask he's doing this.

yeah thats what I mean, basically do the 172 and 182 exhausts stop at the same point before the back box/es go on? ie could I put a 182 system on up to that point and the put a 172 back box on?

or does the 182 centre come through the middle and not at the side like a 172

Nah it's alot more bendy. The 182 is a straight Cat i fink and the manifold stops short.....Alan had to do a ghetto job on his to make his fit.

No it is not possible.

You could Have 182 Manifold, modified 182 Cat and an adapted 172 centre section with a 172 backbox.
