Chris1.4RT Car ex Clio 172 owner :( Apr 16, 2006 #3 Some people paint the backbox black if it's noticable to others from behind. I personally don't like seeing the back box, just the pipe.

Rich Car 106 GTi Apr 16, 2006 #4 Seen a few concours cars with painted exhausts and it looks a bit poo. Clean it up with some Autosol or other metal polish. Works well on my 182.

P paul Car 2015 ST2(MO)/CorsaLE Apr 17, 2006 #6 Hi Rich, ive used Autosol for years, but the exhaust is stained and started to go rusty, autosol cleaned the rust off but not the marks. Think im just gonna have to wait till i get my blueflame Any other ideas??

Rich Car 106 GTi Apr 17, 2006 #7 I had some marks like that on mine which luckilly the metal polish shifted, but like you say wont do anything for the rust. Stainless is the way to go. If you do want to paint it www.frost.co.uk sell paint made for exhausts.
