If it's a decent quality exhaust you shouldn't really need anything, however I find sealant to work best personally. The putty stuff just hardens and falls out.
We're selling it in a month or so time so it'll just be a second hand/scrap yard jobby. Was going to patch hole up but it's massive and blowing like a good 'un.
Any recommendations on which sealant to use or are they all pretty much the same?
I've used bathroom sealant on my focus St before because I could not find the other high temp stuff I had and it was fine for over 2 years when I removed it to sell the car.
