Exhaust question

A mate of mine who doesn't come on here has a ph172, he is after getting a new exhaust when he gets back from france in a few month - he has been looking at new ones, but then one of his mates who has a 52plate 172ff has a full k-tec recessed system which he is selling because he 'bumped' his car lol

question is would this fit?? I said to him it should do??

It wont fit because the 172ph1 has a longer centre section due to it having a smaller cat. It will only fit if you use the 172ph2 cat but then you may have to block the upstream lambda sensor hole if the 172ph1 has just the downstream one.
