Exhaust Repacking

Im buying a second-hand exhaust from someone on the forum, and have read that it might need repacking.

Can someone tell me what this means?

I think its a material which is inside the exhaust to keep the temp and noise down instead of baffles, its like wool. My dads mate has to do it on his motorbikes exhaust every year.

me: hi, do you do exhaust refurb?
powerflow: exhaust refurb?
me: yeah, i want my exhaust repacked
powerflow: i can polish it
me: er... ok, cheers...
