Exhausts and Airfilter on MOT

Ok if i was to change my decat for my orignal cat and then take my IK off and put the orignal airbox back in, would this reduce the emissions on the test that is done or is changing the air filter going to do bugger all?
Is there any other way of reducing the emissions more just for one day at MOT time.

This is a question ive been talking about with some one at work.

Changing the airfilter should do bugger all TBH. Putting some higher RON fuel in can help reduce emissions (I think)
