exhausts

Dont know off hand whether they do an exhaust for the 172 - but I found Janspeed on my old golf 16v to be brilliant sound wise.

A hollow resonance - very quiet below 4,000. But when the 16v hit came on song after 4K it was superb. Only downside was quality - it rusted quickly. They do an S1 range that would be good as its stainless and probably similar accoustically.

This is my Stainless janspeed Cat back.

Like CUP80Y says its fairly quite below 4000rpm but once opened up gives a nice roar! Compared to my mates Magnex on his 172 its a little louder but not much and the tailpipe is a little smaller aswell.

The only downside to it was the fitting of it as the two pieces join together right where the rear axel is which caused it to bang against it if someone sat in the back, but that was because the rear bracket where the exhaust sat in wasnt strong enough so i had to modify that a little but it has been sorted and have had no problems since.

Pic below was taken when it was banging as you can see its abit low!
