Car  Renault Clio
Well after crashing my Dynamique and being paid quite a bit by the insurance I started looking for a new car. Yesterday I ended up getting a bargain! A 1.2 Clio Expression for £2050. It's black and very tidy. Couple of tiny dents on the bonnet that can be removed. The rubber around the windscreen also needs replacing, I think that's a common fault on Clios as it was exactly the same on my last one. If anyone knows how to go about replacing the rubber strips that would be useful! The interior isn't as nice as the Dynamique but it's still quite nice. I really don't like the Renault alloys that are on there atm, does anyone know what they are or how much they're worth? I really need to get some 172 wheels.

I don't have it yet so I can't take better pictures, this is the picture that was on the site.

- RS grille
- 172 alloys
- Megane splitter
- Black side repeaters
- Black badges
- 3/4 number plates
- Flat wiper blades
- Silvervisions
- CTR ariel

thats gonna look nice after the mods mate

is that still a 1.2 16v or a 8v ?

havnt posted any pics of mine on here since about 2005

got an slr cam now just waiting till its finsihed after my wedding next year
 
why does it have colour coded wing mirrors and foglights if its an expression? did the previous owner fit that
 
ye tis, does it have dynamic rear spoiler too or just the small expression one with red brake light?

Just over 60,000. Should be getting it either tomorrow or Wednesday. I've got to get used to driving it though, it felt a lot different to driving my Dynamique and because I wrote that off I'm a bit nervous about going back on the road :(
 
Looks good mate, looks like a dynamique from the outside.

Get an RS or even dynamique interior in there aswell, the interiors in the expression are shocking imo.
 
I've been looking back at old threads about Dynamiques and Expressions and a lot of people seem to bash the Expression and say that Dynamiques are the way forward. Is that just because people prefer the Dynamique interior? Because I can live with the Expression interior.
 
how is it any different? the plastics are just a different colour and the seats have a differnt pattern? not really a big deal IMO
 
I wouldn't worry about the interior m8 unless its proper shot. Do the mod you have planned and you will have a nice looking car, then just maybe lower it 40mm :)

Nah the interior is in really good condition. I'm going to look into lowering it after I've done the other mods. I need to find some 172 alloys first because the current wheels just look ridiculous.
 
I would leave the interior alone then lol, if you dont have any luck finding the 172 alloys, I have a set with tyres in the 172 style but they are 15 inch not 16 inch. Just incase m8y :)
 
People rather the dynamique to the expression because its higher spec and could say a step up. Do the mods you mods you have planned, then chuck a sport interior in it. much nicer then :)

rear bumper of a 1.2, dynamic front grill, the set of wheel and wheel nuts and locking wheel nuts, rear numberplate light unit, Center exhaust mount, and some used ebc green brake pads to name somethings off top of me head lol

I don't think the wing mirrors are colour coded actually, I think it's just looks like they are because they're wet on the picture. I loved my Dynamique being colour coded.
 
Should be picking it up tomorrow hopefully. I'll post some better pictures.

I went on eBay and purchased an RS grille, only to get a message saying "The seller is away until the 8th September 2009 and your delivery will be delayed". So I'm going to have to wait for a week or two.
 
I might be selling my 16" 172 wheels but they need a refurb i bought them with intenstions of doing it but cba now, going down to 15" wheels i fink lol. offer the right price and tehre urs :P

nice car too ;)

I don't even know what that means. It's just a car at the end of day. If it drives fine then I'm happy. It's hardly any different on the outside to a Dynamique. I'm not worrying.

it means the seats have no side supports and when you corner hard u go flying off the seat into the handbrake.

exterior differences.....
rear spoiler
alloy wheels
front fog lights
colour coded fog light covers
later ones have a different front bumper and different grill from the non dynamique ones.

interior differences....
sports seats
dark plastics throughout the car inc dashboard
silver dial surrounds
silver dash strips
later ones have silver interior handles, gearknobs and handbrake buttons
dark parcel shelf

expression has no trip computer unlike the dynamique and above range.

when it comes to selling you will shift a dynamique easier, bargains are out there i picked up a dci one for £1800

Hardly any of that matters.
 
Nothing wrong with the expression interior, and i think its more comfortable and wears better than the dynamiques
