I dont think thats true. I could be wrong but AFAIK you have to declare any change from standard spec even if they are factory options as they can affect the value of your car. I agree, it is not clear what exactly you should declare to your insurance if you have factory options fitted. I also agree that its not "modified" with factory options, but it isnt standard spec is it?
