hi russ

yes that is the price from cel im trying to save the money up should have all the money in 2 months may go for a single dvd as well, you reckon it might go down in 2 month time or stay the same price

cheers russ thanks for your time and help.

Hi

Craigy: I would say the price will stay the same for a while now. Pioneer make some nice screens. However just to point out. I could do you a nice deal on a 15" TFT screen with TV Tuner, Playstation 2 (for the DVD), and power inverter if youre interested. It would be the same kind of price.

Steve: Yes the car is coming along nicely. Its out of the bodyshop and looking a lot better now with a mint sprayjob. The exhaust you sold me is looking great next to another one i bought. The ICE is all back in as well, but unfortunately the gearbox has now decided to go titsup.com so its booked in at Hill Power for a conversion to manual on the 9th September...all good fun!!

....oh and the 7400 headunit would be the same price from me. I really need to get some decent suppliers worked out so i can get some nice discounts going for the various renault clubs. Ill get working on that one next week.

hi russ sounds good but whts the screen like and where do i put it in my 172 mk 1 at the moment i got the pioneer p9300 stereo i was gouing to do your option but when i asked this at my local dealer they said i would have to modify the dash if you have some pics could you send them to me at craig13@btinternet.com i was going to buy the avh-p6400r then pay for all the add on later e.g dvd tuner ps2 your option sounds nice though.

cheers mate thanks for your time and help you going to southend maybe we could talk more then.

The screens are good quality as they are made by Samsung and are designed for use as a TV as well as a PC monitor. Normal TFT screens suffer from fast moving pictures like DVDs not showing properly but these have a high response time so the problem is minimal. The screens themselves retail at £700 each.

I have one of the TFT screens on a bracket that can be attached to the windscreen or dash. Its actually not that hard to get it to fit in any car. And it would be removable so it wouldnt get in the way all the time. Ill get some pics off to you as soon as the demo car comes back from having a new gearbox in September if thats alright. The next move is to get a Full PC in the demo car in the next couple of weeks.

If you suppllied the PS2, the package of 330 Watt Power Inverter, Screen and TV Tuner would be £499 including delivery...bargain. If i supplied the PS/2 it would be an extra £160 or possibly less as ive heard theres a price drop on them shortly.

cheers mate look forward to seeing the pics i would probably go for the one with the ps2 your demo car sounds amazing that would be s*** hot having a computer in there.
one more thing if i brought the pioneer head unit i was on about could you supply me with the dvd/ps2 and all the stuff i would need basically how much for a dvd/ps2 and the stuff i would need but i would not need a dvd if i get the playstation will i.

sorry if i am being a pain asking you all these questions im just thick

cheers mate

Ill be putting the pictures on the website as soon as everything is in and working...It should only be a couple of weeks away.

Regarding your question, If you went for the screen you wanted then you could connect the PS/2 up to it as long as it has the composite Video-In. This would give you the DVD function as well so you wont need a seperate DVD player. Apart from that, all you would need would be the inverter which are about £40. I think Maplins have some special offers on a 330Watt version at the moment which is what i run my PS2 off...never had any problems.
