esh it could be worse

i could drive and rt and look forward to billabong power :0

f**k that each to their own :p;)

1.2 16v Billabong = 106 quiksilver Killer!

Ive owned both, got clio at present. I luved my quiky but unfortunatly its a tad on the slow side.

  Titanium 182

1.6 billabong lmao

vtr killer, im sure the 1600 16v accelrated slower than a vtr in tests

the billabong has fuk all status in my world of cars

so f**k off ;)

ud need summit like a valver/vts to kill a vtr and really put it down to shame

mate, a vtr is a 1.6 8valve... it hardly moves... the quiksilver aint much slower!

and theres a reason that the billabong aint got a status... coz its not an actual model of a car :p If you knew ur clios, u would know this ;)

But I must admit... theres nowt much difference between the 1.6 16v dynamique and the VTR at all. It would be down to driver skills/error.

although I wouldnt say the 1.6 was a VTR killer!

  BMW 535D

clio 1.6 16v - 110bhp, 0-60 in 9.6

saxo 1.6 8v - 100bhp (phase 2) 0-60 in 9.5

the vtr will easily outhandle the clio.

  Titanium 182

lol down to driver, looks like the saxo is a clio eater not

no i dont know my clios, just like my valver, dont take note in all the sh*t they make

apart from v6 172 and cup the models that are worth owning

"1.2 16v Billabong = 106 quiksilver Killer!"

HAHAHHAHAHAHA

Yeah right whatever :p

Anyone with a 1.2 16v billabong want a race?

The 1.2 16v billabong is 75bhp
The 106 quiksilver is 75bhp

As the 16v has its power high up in the revs how do you work out that would "kill" a quiksilver???

coz its half a second faster 0-60? which at 60mph is 8 metres, which is over 2 cars length... therefor im sure that would be killing a quiksilver in a race.

ive owned a quiksilver mate, I do know this. I speak from experience, not from just reading a textbook.

Quote: the vtr will easily outhandle the clio. not quite sure about this, coz the clio dynamique (1.6 16v) comes with a sports suspension kit as standard. same kit as the 172 - just set up differently.
& 9.5 to 9.6 - thats one millisecond, which is exactly why I said it would be down to driver skills/error. & those figures arent what ur getting out of the car. thats a test... not really much point in stating those figures. but from textbook figures & if the same guy tested both cars it would be down to drivers error.

alright lads was only havin a laugh! ive just had bad experiences with saxos and the majority of people who drive them, thats why i cant stand them! The ;) means dont take it too seriously!

lol

connor still dont recon clio with sports susp could out handle one of the best fwd handling cars built bar the teg

the point in posting those figs was to show that in terms pf acceleration, the cars are evenly matched

how low have you dropped it on the coilovers? are they as low as possible?
nope set to about -40mm didnt want it overly low as there are too many speed bumps around here when i fitted them we set them as low as they would drop (-75 at the front -60 at the rear) looked great but wouldnt be as driveable as it is now

would look good but when they are clean because they are such a bright silver they turn loads of heads, and ive got other plans on what to spend the money on next ;)

turbo? i wish, nah exhaust, unichip viper and if i have the balls to take the head off then some headwork too, should see me over the 200bhp mark until someone comes out with a turbo conversion or the lump out of the new megane rs :D

  Titanium 182

yeh over lowering really kills the car, but thing with me is im obseesed i cant settle till it cant go lower :)

hehe

172, can you do head work, or do you send the head away?

its easy enough to remove aint mate

are you the 172 owner that lives in the north east

benR is the man for headwork on here and he keeps bugging me to take mine off so he can work on it for me. think he would need it for a week or so, some tuning companies do worked heads on an exchange basis (they keep the worked heads in stock you send your old one along with payment for the working and they send back a worked head) this means a quicker turn around and other companies take the car or the head from you and return it when they are done.I live in the southwest and as for being easy its not removing it that makes me nervous its putting it back together with the timing correct etc thats puttting me off doing it
