F.A.O. GR...........

......Problems sorted, I think!?!?!?

So its gonna be next week but ill let you know for sure nearer the time.

You know what im talking about;)

Apparently there never was any scratch on the wing, just a couple of small ones on the front near side of the bonnet. (chinese wispers about the "deep scratch" on the wing).

I never sore the car but the dealer rejected it because of this and the fact it had 40 miles on the clock, apparently this is correct milage for most V6s, because they go through a very extensive PDI.

So it looks like im gonna get this car after all, just got to view it myself next week in the show room and make sure im satisfied with it!

Some guy rejected one because of the mileage thing.
Are you sure, i spoke to Renault themselves today and they told me that this milage is acceptable and that if i did wait for another car this could have very similar milage too.

And ive also spoken to another dealer, one ive used alot in the past , and my contact there also confirmed that the Mk2 vees are coming through with this kind of milage.

ours came with just under 40 on it too - also was assured that this was normal.

anyway, as you know Steve they can take a bit of thrash, and its gonna get some when you get it anyway !!!! :D

as far as i was concerned as long as it had no damage on it i wasnt going to say anything, not worth it (although in the back of my mind I was going to use it as amunition for if they said anything about the rather large crack in the windscreen of the car i traded in!)

My V had 7 miles on the clock. Any more and I wasnt having it.
Yours was a Mk 1 though James!

My Mk1 only had 7 or 8 miles on it too, but these new vees seem to go through a much more extensive PDI, hence these higher delivery milages.

"extensive PDI"

Wouldnt be surprised if this was just an ammendment thought up retrospectively by a gleeful mechanic about to tw*t the b****cks off his first Vee 6!!

^ well it isnt !!! it is an official figure for the Vee Mk2 to arrive with, I have it on the very best, honest authority !!!
