f**king BEARING

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

What annoys me the most is that the old one took 15 minutes of hammering to get off and that didn't break, and this new one did with a gentle tug.

Pattern parts for ya :(

I done this too! With Genuine Renault :(

Just get a bearing puller. Will piss off.

I used and angle grinder, hammer and chisel! Lol!

what are the symtoms of worn bearing, how wud I know if bearings are gone.

Loud hum from the rear. If you turn right you left wheel one will hum, and vice versa!

Sorry, but I'm not very mechanically minded - what am I looking at in the picture - I.e. what's wrong with it?

That bit still on the stub axle (the circular bit sticking out above the axle stand) is the insides of the bearing.
That bit should be inside the inner part of the brake disc.

as odd as it sounds you have marked or have s**t on your stub axle, but you have pulled the new disc off! why?

crack the disc on and use the hub nut to push the disc back on, had a pain in the d*ck like this yesterday!!
I couldnt get the old disc off for love nor money and the new one going on was the same issue!

^ Yes indeed - on my feckin car as it happens!

The rear left was a doddle but the bearing was shot in it anyway, so I replaced both rear discs as I had them.

The rear right (same as above it would appear) was the devil himself I think - set us back hours trying everything to get it off and pi**ed us right off!

Re: f**kING BEARING

Yeah Maxiboy on C16V said just you can properly still use it anyway, I think I will.

you've f**ked the new disc there?

lol just the bearing, was going to get a new one pressed in as it came without a bearing anyway.

Started to put disc on, bit stiff so pulled it back off and it left that! Didn't want to force it as last time I put a rear disc on it just slid on nicely!

This is the rear right for me too, took me 25 minutes before I worked out that whacking the back with a hammer was moving it, then 10 minutes of that and the old one came off! Never had that before, normally they just slide off!

Loud hum, constant if on rear bearing, changes depending on steering if on the front. Unmissible, once you have heard one its very easy to diagnose!

I put the bearing back together and it doesn't fall apart now, but it doesn't spin freely when bolted on to the car so I have opted not to use it - anyone want to buy it from me? :)

^ Same thing as I had when we got mine on (as Cro-Clio described)

The bearing/wheel is fine now after I drove the car out of his drive :)
