Very useful pointers there cookson, cheers bud
I've passed those on to my folks to pass on to Renault as obviously being a week day I'm at work. My mum is an additional driver so she's driven it down there and picking up my courtesy car. She likes a good fight too, which is useful seeing as I can't be there today.
The trouble with the dealership I use is that A) it really is the only one for MILES and B) the twot who damaged my car is not solely a Renault employee. He's one of a gang of 'foreigners' who clean and prep the cars in readiness of their collection from services. An on site subcontractor. Does anyone elses dealership follow this route? Needless to say, it happened about three minutes before I arrived as it was being driven over to their car wash area.
No problem.
However, couple more pointers.
1. Don't go breaking their courtesy car. They are doing you a favour. Granted, some c**t has damaged your car, but they have offered to fix it for you. You break their car, and its just going to cause problems to get yours sorted.
2. Dont worry about the fact a sub contractor did it. They will have an indemnity contract with said subbies employers (if they have any sense) so renault will pay for the damage and claim it back as a recovery from the sub contractor.
Be as nice as pie, you go in all guns blazing and they will probabaly drag it out. Be nice, make sure your needs are met before going off.
Good luck fella, hope it gets sorted ASAP
