f**king Livid.

  A Flamin' Red one
So, the car has been with Renault having some electrical issues worked on but they couldn't do the work because the key's had died and the alarm wouldn't shut up. Having initially told me that the keys would need to come from France, it took them from Thursday evening to Monday afternoon to realise that they actually had some in stock. They then got on with the electrical work required and I went to pick it up after work. I was greeted in the carpark by the After-Sales Manager and a worried looking Service Receptionist who proceded to show me what is in the following picture.

One of the f**king car washer/porter/monkey people reverse swerved it into a wall (so he told the Manager) but he must have been f**king flying, I mean - look at it! I've just now gone to check I locked the car and found a pissing puddle in the driveway right underneath the damage. He curbed the alloy as well as the bumper and three day old splitter (!). What might he have knocked/ruptured that would be leaking? Looking now at the picture in closer detail I can see a small puddle on the tarmac but failed to notice it when taking the picture earlier on. I've been out in it tonight but the picture was taken when I got back from the garage so I know it's nothing I've caused having been out tonight.

Oh, and they still didn't fix the f**king electrical fault after all that!

They will now be paying for a new bumper, a spray, C/F splitter and if they can't refurb the alloy well enough, a new 17" OZ rim, fixing the leak, fixing the initial electrical fault (all I want ts to have the lamps from the CD display replaced as they've gone!) and giving it a bloody good clean. It was covered in bird s**te. Only today I posted how excited I was to have my car back :(

True, they're paying for everything and they are sorting me a courtesy car but it's gutting to be handed something back which is now worse then when you left it :( It's just more hassle. I did take pride however from the fact that the manager was practically in tears at "having one of the nicest cars the garage has seen for a while damaged on his watch"!

This dripping fuid worries me slightly though...?

full service, money, tbh there is no excuse for what happened. Its completely unacceptable and im make that more than clear and the fact you'll report his management to superior or whoever unless you get some compensation.

Don't forget a new foglamp cover. To be honest, had he been 'flying,' he probably would have ripped the bumper from the wing. It is only light damage. Although I'd be more annoyed about the alloy than anything else.

True, maybe 'fllyng' was a bit of an exageration but if he had been going slowly, curbing the wheel against the wall whilst it was on lock would have been all he needed to hear in order to stop. It's like he kept going!

Ahh no! Gutted yet bloody furious at the same time!

At least they are sorting it out for you but how long will that take them, and will you sleep at night while they have your car?

he must have hit it hard because the fog light surround is scraped, the bumper would have to be compressed pretty hard to do that.
unlucky mate

Mark the inside of the bumper somehow to ensure you get a new one! Feckers!

You want the damage repaired to factory standard.

You want the car lazer alligned to check nothings bent

You want the TOP mech to go over the car with a toothcomb

You want a NEW alloy, not just refurbed

New foglight cover

New CF splitter (or cash monies for it)

You want a free (major) service and a top notch valet

And lastly............... you want evidence that the complete c**t-CHOP that did it reprimanded by means of a written warning/damages from his wage.

At then end of the day, if they cant move a car round a garage without damaging it, then they shouldnt be working there. Accident's happen, but thats just blatently not giving a s**t.

It would also be good to know that any damage underneath had been 100% corrected. Some of the bonnet clips or other plastic has probably been snapped too.

Nightmare!

Well just make sure its all fixed to your standards and on your terms. I'm sure a full tank of v power wouldn't go a miss as a nice goodwill gesture ;)

Completely agree with cookson, although i cant see them docking the guys wages. They will have to stand by him and say it was an accident, even if they do b*llock him behind the scenes.

I also dont think they will give you a sport as a courtesey car, but by all means try!

pretty sh1tty situation and as i imagine you are, i would be getting into contact with the managers manager and explaining the situation, so he puts pressure on the manager to get the job done.
explain you can see it is not just a scrape from an accident, you took the car to a dealer as you wanted honest work done to a professional level, and the level of service you have received is not professional, far from it. I would also add that if it is not repaired to a very high level you will be taking it further until the problem is COMPLETELY rectified.

Very useful pointers there cookson, cheers bud :) I've passed those on to my folks to pass on to Renault as obviously being a week day I'm at work. My mum is an additional driver so she's driven it down there and picking up my courtesy car. She likes a good fight too, which is useful seeing as I can't be there today.

The trouble with the dealership I use is that A) it really is the only one for MILES and B) the twot who damaged my car is not solely a Renault employee. He's one of a gang of 'foreigners' who clean and prep the cars in readiness of their collection from services. An on site subcontractor. Does anyone elses dealership follow this route? Needless to say, it happened about three minutes before I arrived as it was being driven over to their car wash area.

Renault Croydon? Jeez thats where my car originated from...

Definitely agree with cookson, and do rag the hell out of the courtesy car from cold ;)

It would seem that the leak is the washer fluid pipe whcih feeds the headlamp jets. Even though I'm not paying - phew!
