I'm guessing they can see a little more than the camera did, as all I could see in the mirrors were the rear tyres.

You really need to know the tracks inside out, I couldn't tell when the corners were coming up at all,
by the time I saw them i'd have been in the wall.

When DC and MB say it's like sitting in the bath and trying to look over the taps, they weren't kidding!!
