think he means fit an RS F4R (i.e 1*2 engine) instead of non RS F4R

Different pistons and inlet. James23 on here has done it in his Scenic.

Can't imagine it's too much - Only inlet/plenham to accomodate externally I guess?

RS is the 197 engine?

Different head, cams, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and pistons. + map on ecu.
Aux belt setup is different too but now we're splitting hairs.

LOL. having done it my advice to the OP would be to not do what i did but to just buy a complete Engine and manifolds etc from a phase 1 172 and just swap the whole thing in one go.
