the standard ones are strong enough.

The engine is going to be turbocharged, probably should have mentioned that. I've previously built a mk2 golf gti 16v turbo and used ARP hardware on that, the head studs I found particularly useful not only because of the higher tensile strength but also the fact they can be re-used.
