f7r engine

this f7r engine from megane is same as williams but with the better head and bottom end?
just asking because if it is il buy it for me conversion.
is this engine also higher revving then standard williams?

dimentionally the same.

But you wont be able to run a clio valver/williams ECU/loom setup, you will need to runa complete megane management setup.

Diff head, smaller ports, diff inlet manifold, coilpacks, diff TB, ISCV, injectors yadda yadda yadda.

buy a williams engine and have an easy life.

Oh and it doent rev any higher.

nah i think il get the williams engine rebore to 84 mm
then get full head work done.
turbo etc etc like i said before.
anyone know were i can get upgrade gearbox ie strengthen or at least an lsd for a clio box.

then get full head work done.

also would a williams strut brace fit a mark1 ph1 clio 1.2?cheers
 
wouldnt bother with 84mm with a turbo, you'll have sealing issues.

You wont loose any performance by keeping it stock or clean up the bores to 82.5mm.

when people fit turbos were do they get upgraded map sensors from?

depends on the boost you are planning to run. If your thinking of sub 1bar gauge, a 2bar absolute of a 21T would suffice. Anything over 1bar gauge, and you'll be looking at 3bar absolute at circa £80 of the top of my head.

prob about 15psi max,probs about 1 bar?not to sure about conversion rate lol.

so you would be rebuilding a whole car, AND a trubo engine?!

I'd just be a straight car in the first place, and concentrate on the engine.
